Welcome to JLD School of Dancing

We offer training, examinations and show experience in a variety of dance styles from Classical Ballet to Street Jazz in an atmosphere that is friendly and vibrant. We run approximately 50 classes a week during term time from our own fully-equipped studios. We accept boy and girl students from 2yrs to 20yrs in classes across the board.

National Youth Ballet Auditions

Well done to Lara Middleton, Isi Wilson and Jessica Chalmers who attended the NYB auditions last month and have all been chosen to appear in the cast of Beyond Ballet. Outstanding!

ARCHIE SLADEN (ex pupil) - Is currently touring with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in Prince of the Pagodas.

HARRY ASHTON – Has been offered a place in the London Children’s Ballet Production of Nanny McPhee at the Peacock Theatre in London. Performances 24th-27th April.

NAOMI LONSDALE – Has been a awarded a place on the yr 10-11 Musical Theatre course at Tring Park School of the Performing Arts

LUCY COOKE – Has been awarded places at Creative College and Stella Man.

Jodie Steele -  Lands the lead role of Carmen on Fame Tour.

Danica Hunter – To release first EP Lies and Butterflies

Samuel Rees – Starts his first job with Danish Ballet

Lewis Peploe – And the rest of the West End cast of War Horse will be streamed live to cinema. Please watch on 27th February at Basingstoke.

Taylor Yates – After performing the part of Fritz in The Nutcracker at The Royal Opera House has been offered another year at The Royal Ballet’s White Lodge.

Welcome back to JLD for a new year and a new term. We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. We would like you to check the timetable carefully as a few things have changed and with this term being the first time we have sent out all invoices and newsletters by email, we ask that you pop into the office to ensure all your details are correct.

We look forward to a energetic Spring Term with our Easter Musical’s ‘Snoopy’ and ‘Sister Act’ to punctuate the end. If you haven’t put your name down for these workshops then please do as limited spaces are available.
